Emma González works as Director, sound engineer and Production Designer. Graduated in 2017 from the ENAC (National School of Cinematographic Arts) of the UNAM, her short films as a director have been selected in different festivals such as Macabro, FICG, ShortsMéxico, the MXABCN of Barcelona and China Women's Film festival in which She received an honorable mention for her short film “The dream life of Gloria”, among others.
She has participated in various workshops and meetings dedicated to genre cinema such as “WeirdFiction” and “BloodWindow”. Her latest short film “The Quetzal’s feather” was the winner of the Pitch at MacabroLab 2018 for its production. In 2019 she received the PECDA scholarship for screenwriting with which she developed the first treatment of “Las Hijas de Dios” narrative film that is currently in develop. In 2021, her debut documentary “Mex-I-Can” is selected in DocsLab MX where she receives the Chemistry and New Art recognition, this documentary is currently in postproduction.
As a sound engineer, she has focused her career on documentaries, working on projects such as “Birth Wars” by director Janet Jarman and more recently on “Ways to traverse a territory” by director Gaby Ruvalcaba.
As a production designer has worked in film and advertising. Always looking to develop the best way to tell stories and support aesthetics. She has worked for different brands such as Nike, Vogue, Expedia, Pedigree, Puma, Rimowa, MiniCooper, among others.
